Meet your hosts

Alisha
mother + Retreat Host

Alisha is a mother to 3 children; 9, 2 and 6 months. Each time she has met herself on the other side of motherhood it has been a journey of self discovery, setting boundaries and creating containers to find herself in the mix of carrying for others. What Alisha has learned is this is a spiraled journey. A journey of seasons, some in which we jump in two feet and others in which we need more time for slowness. Finding time for herself, away from family and caregiving has been crucial in navigating the spiral of becoming mother. As well as connecting with other women.

Alisha has been practicing yoga for 17 years, exploring the cycles of Rebirth for 6 years, a registered nurse with a bachelors of science in Kinesiology and Nursing, certified doula and perinatal yoga instructor. Alisha brings her education in these fields as well as her experience in working with women, families and mothers over the last 8 years to help create a container that is gently held for women to explore their new selves since becoming mother; whether that be one year or 20.

Lauren
Mother + retreat host

Lauren is a mother of two beautiful girls who have been her greatest teachers. Motherhood, for her, has been a profound journey filled with lessons in love, patience, persistence, resilience, and the undeniable importance of self-care. Her personal voyage as a mother has taught her that in order to nurture others, you must first nurture yourself. During her journey into motherhood and the world of wellness, Lauren served in the United States Coast Guard for seven years. This experience instilled in her the values of discipline, leadership, and unwavering determination. These qualities, along with a degree in Business Management, have been pivotal in shaping her path toward her true calling.

Today, Lauren is the proud owner of a thriving yoga studio, where she pours her heart into creating a nurturing space for her community. With her 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification, NPTI Personal Training Certificate and Holistic Nutritionist certification she possesses a deep understanding of the transformative power of yoga, wellness and mindfulness. Her mission is to inspire women to step out of their comfort zones, tackle life's challenges, and blossom through every step of their journey.
